STOP PRESS (21 July 2026) …
Unfortunately, Karen has succumbed to a back injury making her Wheelchair bound (temporarily we hope). As a consequence, Karen has postponed the event as advertised until
a date to be advised. However, the Tablelands Music Lovers club have collected together other artists to fill Karen's time slots and allow Karen's feature artist,
Frank Frikker, to perform more or less as cast. Whilst carrying the same event name the show is no longer under her direction, nonetheless, knowing the replacement artists
Karen can assure everyone that the replacement show content is in keeping with her theme and will doubtless be a hoot for all!
Music and Mayhem, a Karen J White production, live at the Tablelands Music Lovers' venue (TML) on 25 July 2026 - open to TML members and visitors alike.
Music & Mayhem @ TML Atherton features Karen J White, her special guest Frank Frikker, and handful of “quirky” guests many being TML members.
Music & Mayhem is the concept of Karen J White. Its aim is to combine for an evening the talents of two, or more, independent artists and see what happens! In this
instance Music & Mayhem @ TML comprises 3 sets …
Set 1 is largely Karen J White presenting a collection of novelty songs in her quirky manner all delivered with clear vocals and passion - laughter and tears are
assured. She has performed at Adelaide, Perth, and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. Karen calls FNQ her home and is where she developed her entertainment style earning
herself at the then famous Port Douglas Musos Night the nickname “The Quirky One”!
Set 2 showcases ex-local Frank Frikker who describes his music as “contemporary folk with a social conscience”. Mostly his songs are original stories in a song,
many with humour and satire, and he is an accomplished fingerpicker.
Set 3 starts the mayhem when Frank meets Karen on stage before they bring on a few other local likeminded TML musicians to present a cacophony of knock-your-socks-off
musical mayhem fun.
TML (Tablelands Music Lovers Community Group Inc.) was founded in 2011 by local music enthusiasts to provide a fully equipped music venue to host events and performers
from novice to professional across a diverse spectrum of genres. It is a fully registered NFP (not for profit) membership-based community group maintained by a team
of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers.

Tablelands Music Lovers (TML) is a community (not-for-profit) organisation with its own professional music hall. It's run solely by volunteers, musicians, and
music lovers alike. It is based just off the high street in Atherton with ample free parking, and local pubs, cafes, and restaurants. TML runs events with genres
covering most music styles and skills ‐ from starters to professionals.
“Live and Local Night” is a showcase of local musical talents. It usually comprises three acts to delight the audience. Each act, as agreed with the
performer at the time of booking, is anywhere from around 30 mins to 60 mins in duration. I have secured a 45 min slot.
As this is largely a showcase type of event, I have opted for a show playlist of some of my current favourite songs from my repertoire. As I try to do, my prestation
should take you on a journey from crying to laughing out loud, and usually with a bit of “saucy” inuendo thrown in.
I hope you'll come and join me for the whole event “Live and Local Night”. Information about TML, its events, and all three of the evening's
artists is on TML's website.
See you there. Karen xx

Various commitments in 2024/25, culminating in moving house (some 2,000km north in August 2025) meant a sabbatical from performing.
Having made the move I was delighted to learn that there is a wonderful, friendly community in a local music club, the Tablelands Music Lovers (TML) ‐ so I picked up my guitar
again and started attending their open mic sessions to start retraining
Hopefully during 2026 I will be “show ready” and will get back into appearances around and about ‐ watch this space! Meanwhile I get along to as many of the TML
open mic sessions as I can, and hope for an invitation to join one of their special presentations. Do look at the club's calendar for dates and times.

PREAMBLE …
Some of you already know me as “the Quirky and Rudey One” (thanks Craig and Larry of Muso's Night in Port Douglas for the title!) so for you it will be no surprise to learn that I've put
together a show specifically for adults only! For the rest of you - don't be deceived by this mild, English exterior, inside lives someone who loves to put herself out there singing naughty
(but nice!) songs. Not crude, I tend to avoid crude songs, but I don't shy away from ‘adult themes’, ‘sexual references’ and occasional ‘coarse
language’; I can't guarantee that all the songs are strictly ‘politically correct’ either! The main aim is always to entertain and for all of us to have a good laugh.
SOUND GRAB …
A preview snippet sample of typical songs sung during this show of mine. For those who are easily offended by adult humour, in context profanity, innuendo, or political incorrectness should not attend my
show “Adults Only” even though I believe it is delivered “in the best possible taste” [a popular quote of the late British DJ and television entertainer Kenny Everett] ….
Snippets of my typical “Adults Only” songs.
