Taking its title from one of my all-time favourite Kirsty MacColl songs this album consists of 10 tracks from Kirsty's catalogue plus The Pogues' Christmas classic on which Kirsty featured, all interpreted, played, and sung by myself and a fabulous bunch of professional musicians.  I started with a short-list of 40 of Kirsty's songs which, with the help of some fellow Kirsty Fans, I whittled down to 21.  From these 11 songs were selected and studio produced by the lovely Nigel Pegrum and me for this album - for the remaining 10 songs see the page for Soho Square.  P.S. I added a Karen J White song Shoes, yes an original, to In These Shoes? - have a listen for the ‘Kirsty’ reference!  The song originally appeared on my first studio album “By Request”, refreshed here with new vocals.
